KDOC finds a way meet mandated budget cuts
The Kansas Department of Corrections will be closing down facilities in the Lansing Correctional Facility and the El Dorado Correctional Facility in February rather than April as originally planned.
The earlier closings were made possible due to staff openings and prisons not being filled to their full capacity according to a Kansas Department of Corrections statement.
