Plaintiffs, researchers argue there would be less funding available for 'ethical and successful' adult stem cell research

Court upholds Obama's plan to use tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research

A United States district court judge dismissed a case Tuesday a United States district court judge dismissed the case seeking to reinstate the ban of federal tax dollars being used to fund embryonic stem cell research.

President Barack Obama lifted the ban earlier this year, which will allow an estimated $90 million in taxpayer dollars to be allocated for the purpose of embryonic stem cell research. It does not appear that the ruling will have any immediate impact on embryonic stem cell research being performed locally.

Embryonic stem cell research never even cures a mouse, and likely will never be safe enough for human trials. It's a scam.
. . .
Neocutis, a company with offices in San Francisco, has developed a line of anti-aging products that include an ingredient the company has trademarked as Processed Skin Cell Protein, or PSP, developed from skin cells harvested from aborted babies.
If babies can be profitably killed for wrinkle removal, there will be no stopping leftists from conducting hideous experiments on living unborn babies and sales of baby parts in the name of curing diseases.
And in the name of profit, of course.

Stem cells are such an interesting topic! I saw a blog recently that discussed different ways in which they can be used (http://iconsinmedicine.wordpress.com) - it's neat to see all the possibilities discussed in one place. The group that does the blog (http://www.iconsinmed.org) is really interesting too. They have developed a social network for doctors to allow for teleconsultations between doctors in the developing world and specialists to improve global health.
