The GOP conservative-'moderate' gap doesn't exist for consultants
In Kansas Republican circles, the chasm between conservatives and "moderates" is wide and deep. "Moderates" often support Democrats in order to avoid seeing conservatives gain office, while conservatives disdain their rivals for their lack of loyalty.

All I can say is beware of someone whose colors change.
During the 2008 election my opponent, now Representative of the 118th Dist. had the support of KTRM financially, with Sen Morris and others Republicans actively supporting him. It was somewhat of an eye opener to see how the moderates worked against me. I could name several names that would surprise you, but to what end. At least three even tried to blackmail the company that was helping me with brochures, etc. telling them they wouldn't get any more of the KHRC business and other threats unless they dropped me.
