Kansas Liberty: 23 April 2009

Lawmakers say they may attempt a veto override when Legislature reconvenes April 29. GOP opposition in Washington grows as Brownback and Roberts stay mum.

Sebelius' 11th-hour veto of late-term abortion bill angers legislative leaders

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius’ last-minute veto Thursday of a bill dealing with late-term and partial birth abortion has angered Kansas lawmakers - and stiffened resistance to the conformation as Health and Human Services secretary in Washington, DC.

Kansas pro-life groups characterized the veto of SB 218, an abortion reform bill, as a...

CONSEQUENCES OF COWARDLY REPORTING

Posted by Bill McKean at 2009-04-28 18:34
HEY PHIL & HOLLY

I hope the national pro life groups ask the questIon: What's The Matter With Kansas? Tiller gets acquitted. Sebelius easily wins confirmation. Spineless Tim Heulskamp & Kansas Bar Association Corruption apologist speaker Mike O'Neal waste oxygen & Kansas Liberty space wringing their hands about an abortion veto by Sebelius. Troy Newman & Cheryl Sullenger continue to promote themselves as giant kilelrs to selfishly build their political kingdoms by giving political cover to half-hearted attempts by GOP politicians to defeat the Sebelius nomination. The unintended consequences of Reagan's 11th commandment: Our hypocritcal pro life GOP politicians only care about getting re-elected and are afraid to expose Sebelius corruption for fear of implicating GOP judges & officials.

Sebelius could had been defeated if the issue had been government corruption & judical racketeering rather than abortion. Despite many documented cases of illegal unethical acts by GOP pro-life district court judges, Cheryl Sullenger introduced a KRAA resolution stating that Wichita has the most ethical judges in Kansas. Every one who wants to be a player in Wichita has as much childen's blood on their hands as George Tiller. Too bad Phil was afraid to return any phone calls. Selective reporting by Kansas Liberty or the Wichita Eagle or Kansas City Star is a hallmark of a fascist government which is exactly what we are getting with the Obama administraton thanks to cowardly reporting by Kansas Liberty & kingdon building by competing Kansas pro life groups.

2 Members of House Urge Obama to Withdraw Sebelius Nomination

WASHINGTON, April 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- As debate in the U.S. Senate continues over the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of Health and Human Services, 32 members of the House of Representatives issued a letter to President Barack Obama asking him to withdraw her nomination from consideration.
The representatives, including Rep. Todd Tiahrt from Sebelius' home state of Kansas, asked Obama to withdraw his nominee "in light of her close collaboration with the abortion industry."

The group mentions Sebelius' campaign contributions from late-term abortionist George Tiller and her repeated veto that served to protect her benefactors, Tiller and Planned Parenthood, from having to comply with common sense safety regulations and other restrictions designed to protect patients.

The representatives stated, "We are deeply disappointed by this nomination and believe a nominee to such an important position should, at the very least, not have commitments to the morally reprehensible practice of providing abortion in almost every circumstance. For these reasons, we respectfully request that you withdraw your nomination of Kathleen Sebelius for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services."

"We appreciate the effort by the 32 members of the House of Representatives to protect women and innocent babies by opposing the Sebelius nomination to HHS," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, who has worked to gather opposition to Sebelius. "They deserve thanks for standing for life at a time when it would be easier to remain silent."

Debate is ongoing in the Senate. A final vote is still expected later today.
