Senate:

Illegal Immigration Relief Act SB 458 sponsored by Sen. Peggy Palmer would authorize state and local authorities to enforce federal immigration law; prohibit illegal immigrants from receiving state services and repeal a state law giving the children of illegal immigrants’ in-state tuition at state colleges and universities. Bill would also require employers to use the federal E-Verify system to check residency of new hires, and impose fines on companies that knowingly hire illegal immigrants. Would also allow authorities to end state contracts or strip the business license of companies knowingly employing illegals.
